So I like doing research on things, it is kind of a pastime for me, and I found an interesting little fact on hummus dip. As you may know, hummus dip is made from chickpeas, and so hummus is actually the Arabic word for chickpeas. Further, the full name of hummus dip is “hummus bi tahini,” which means “chickpeas with tahini.” I believe hummus is a gift from heaven, if you cannot tell, I really like hummus. After all, it has good things in it for you, like iron, vitamin C, vitamin B6 and folate.
Since hummus dip is delicious and has beneficial nutrients in it, I do not think I will feel guilty for eating it so much. One of my favorite things to do is to eat nacho chips with hummus dip and classic mild salsa. For parties, I will put out some nachos, along with spicy fresh guacamole, and various salsa brands, since some people are picky about their brands. Everyone loves hummus dips, which is probably why parties with a Mexican theme are the most popular in my house.
Factoid time again. In 2008, over 15 million Americans said they use hummus dip regularly. Therefore, we know it is not just me that loves it, but many many more do too! Tell you what, the hummus dip with red pepper is my favorite, it is like an explosion of happiness in my mouth. I am always excited to find new ways to make hummus dip more amazing. For example, the other day I only had pretzels left and no nacho chips, so for my afternoon snack I had pretzels dipped in hummus. Now I am definitely leaving pretzels out at my parties too. I think it will become a new party favorite, but that may be just me.
