The month of October played host to some incredible musical performances, such as the band Phish, which was a huge hit as it packed the Blue Cross Arena to its maximum occupancy. Looking forward, some other awesome musical performances are on the Rochester calendar for the month November and December. Rochester music events will kick off on Friday, November 14th with the “50 Shades!” musical at the Rochester Auditorium Theater. This hilarious parody of the popular “Fifty Shades of Grey” novel, will return to Rochester in November, following a sold-out engagement in the month of May. Later in the month, the annual Turkey Bash will be held at the Downtown Riverside Convention Center and will feature some popular local musicians such as “The Skycoasters,” and “Something Else.” The event draws an audience of over 2,000 people and provides great music, food and beverages. The event is scheduled to take place on November 22nd.
Musical events for the month of December will feature some more popular performances, kicking off on the 1st, with an appearance from the hit band “Vampire Weekend” at The Rochester Main Street Armory. This performance will be followed the annual 98PXY Jingle Jam at the Blue Cross Arena, on December 3rd. This year, the Jingle Jam event features the popular artists of “Fall Out Boy,” “Emblem3,” and “New Politics.” Finally, the award winning rock band “The Fray,” and “Parachute” will perform on December 8th at The Main Street Armory.
Other events in Rochester NY, other than musical performances, are worth checking out, too. Check out the incredible Nutcracker Moscow Ballet on December 4th at the Rochester Auditorium Theater. The popular and hilariously entertaining stand-up comedian, Brian Regan, will also perform at the Rochester Auditorium Theater, on December 7th. Finally, the Holiday Light Show at The Garden Factory on December 23rd is a great destination for the entire family, and features over 100,000 colored LED lights, that is enough to cover over 500 trees!
