My girlfriend and I remodeled and redecorated our apartment, and when choosing themes, we found a great deal on iron furniture from an artist who does iron decor. I know. It does not sound comfortable, but believe me, it is. And it looks great. I mean, wrought iron tables, fireplaces and hearth accessories are traditional and timeless. This artist can do iron beds, wrought iron tables, wrought iron patio furniture, anything. She is amazing.
See, although wrought iron tables and other wrought iron products date back to ancient Roman times, American blacksmiths first popularized wrought iron during the early twentieth century, around the 1920s. This is probably owed to James Aston, who in 1925 developed an efficient and economic process for the manufacturing of wrought iron.
Even though many people actually think of Colonial style when they picture items like wrought iron tables, but, actually, wrought iron furniture and decor comes in many different variety of styles. We choose some of the more modern pieces that the artist had to offer.

I have a ton of wrought iron furniture in my home and I always get compliments on it. I love it. Plus, it is very affordable, I think.
