Are Your Belongings Safe with Anyone But You?

Pods

Are you moving? If so, you are not alone. There are around 6 million families that are going to be moving this summer. If you are moving, here are a few things that you will want to keep in mind.

1. Inventories. Yes., I get it. I hate taking inventories also, but you are going to need to know what you will need once you hit the ground for your next location. There is no stopping this. Inventory everything that you will need, from the stuff that you will need immediately like a change of clothes and toothbrush to the stuff that you will need in the long run, like a coffee maker. Long distance movers need to know these things so that they know what to stick in the pod and what to keep out of it. After all, you don’t want to get to your new house and then remember that you left the toilet paper locked up in the pods which aren’t due until tomorrow.

2. Moving deals. You might find these frustrating. After all, they are usually bureaucratic and there always seems to be one reason or another why you don’t qualify. But you should also know that you are moving during the summer time. Moving during the summertime is not easy. for this reason, you need to be prepared for every contingency and cut prices wherever possible because you don’t want to lose two months wages on a move.

3. Drivers. If you drive your own moving van you can save a lot of money. But remember that someone has to move your car as well. Are you going to haul it behind the van or maybe have your spouse drive it? Do you have two cars that you need to move to your new location. If so, might a trailer be more appropriate than a van?

These are all things that you need to keep in mind. There might not be a foregone conclusion, but for you there is most certainly a right answer.
